No more than receiving oral from any woman who isn't a hooker. The herpes you would (possibly) be exposed to is oral herpes, or coldsores, which 60-80% of women have, not just prostitutes.

Herpes is not infectious all the time, maybe about 1/5 of the time, that is even if the woman has it. In additition, if you are one of the 60-80% infected already with the coldsores (herpes) virus, your chances of catching it in a different location ie genitally are extremely minimal.

So the chance you would get herpes is extremely slim. If you did contract it, you would likely get symptoms within two weeks. If you caught it from oral it would be caused most probably by type 1 (oral) herpes, not by classic genital (type 2) herpes. What this means is that the infection would be less severe becasue you would have oral herpes genitally - it would be outside its site of preference.

Personally it isn't herpes I would be worried about. Please bear in mind how common the bacterial stds are such as chlamydia and gonorrhea. These can infect the throat, so all it would take is for your prostitute to give oral to another man who carried any of these and at a later date to give oral sex to you for you to catch a bacterial std. Unlike herpes, the bacterial infections are infectious all the time. Given how common chlamydia is, for example, it might be an idea to get tested in this situation.

You can't really put a number on that because it depends.

If the "hooker" (sorry I don't like that word) has cold sores and gives you oral sex then your chances are higher then if she doesn't have cold sores.

I would be far less concerned about Herpes than I would HIV. But yes, chances are good that you would contract herpes, amongst other things.
