or 400 mg 3 time a day
if i take 400 mg 3 time a day for my Recurrent outbreaks
any one know how many hours i take?4 hours ...6 hours or 8 hours?

If you are suppose to take the medication 3 times a day then you need to take it roughly every 8 hours.

8 hours + 8 hours + 8 hours = 24 hours

If you are a little off on the time (like an hour or so) it's not going to hurt you. The idea is to keep a steady amount of the medication in your system.

Find a time that fits your schedule so you don't have to wake up at 3AM to take a dose. For example: 6AM, 2PM, and 10PM

An hour here or there is not so important. Just that you do not miss doses. Honestly though, Acyclovir is old news in the herpes treament world. I switched to Valtrax and it changed my life. There were some uncomfortable side effects for the first few days but after that...it's a beautiful thing. best of luck to you
