My symptoms seems to be syphilis and not hsv2.. if i had a penis sore why didn't my results say hsv2???? My doc an idiot?

What you are describing in your mouth does not sound like herpes. It sounds more like canker sores, which is not associated with herpes. Usually people have herpes 1 below the belt or above it. Just because it is on your genitals does not make it type 2. That is just another strain of the virus. It does not change name with location.

It is possible that the meds your doctor gave you are not strong enough, or you may need to try a new type. Not everything works for each person.

As for why the cream worked. It is common to develop a bacterial infection along with the herpes outbreak. It is also possible that the bacterial infection is causing your continued outbreaks. You should go see a dermatologist for a full work up to see what is going on. Is sounds like you might be ping ponging conditions. A dr familiar with skin conditions should be able to stop this for you.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

It doesn't sound like syphilis. Syphilis chancres (ulcers) are painless, which is why they can go unnoticed.

An antibiotic will not treat herpes; I think the alleviation of your symptoms is probably coincidental. Antibiotics are intended for protist and bacterial infections. And while antibiotics are used to cure syphilis, syph is treated with a specific kind of penicillin.

When you were tested for herpes, did you not request a syphilis test, too? They are both blood tests.

syphilis is caused by Treponema pallidum, gram negative spirochete, a bacteria

HSV stands for herpes simplex virus

you are not misdiagnosed, because those two diseases are caused by different things, they have to send the sample to the lab in order to confirm what you have, the doctor can't possibly just look at what you have and make the diagnose

Have the doctor do a blood test it will tell you if you have herpes simplex or syphllis. It will also tell you what strand of HSV you have. So ask for a blood test it is more accurate because it will differentiate.
