I wanted to eat a healther pasta and have just noticed that there are some wheat semolina pasta products that are good. But am I getting any real benefits from changing to this product? Thanks.

Durum is the variety of wheat-semolina is the meal it is ground into. 100% durum wheat pasta can be considered a whole grain product. If the first ingredient on the list is durum wheat with no other types of flour following, then bingo.

You're getting more fiber, more protein and less starch. Whole wheat is a lot better for blood sugar, it doesn't cause that rapid spike like regular pasta does.
