Thanks. I feel much better now. The fact that I get the opportunity to get a three-year checkup is a good thing. It is helping me so if anything grows back it can get removed, and I will be safe the rest of my life because I get the opportunity to make sure everything is okay rather than waiting 40 years from now and finding out something was wrong now and I ignored it.

Benign means just that.. not an issue.

People get polyps all the time. Just make sure you keep up with your routine checkups. nobody has ever died from a benign polyp.

It's when people ignore their checkups and ignore signs of pain or discomfort that they end up with bigger problems. And THAT is what does them in.

But being aware that you have a polyp should make you feel good. You got it before it became a problem!

Live life, don't fear it :)

went being checked, you should have them checked and removed, they are the ist stage of cancer [colon} and if they test positive all ways have them removed. having polyps is natures warning signal that if tested can save your life..

Believe me, having a dr say "see you next year" a lot easier to live with than having him say "you need to see a surgeon."
