For reoccurring genital herpes outbreaks the usual dosage of acyclovir is either:
acyclovir 200mg orally 5 times a day for 5 - 7 days or until the symptoms go away,
acyclovir 400mg orally 3 times a day for 5 - 7 days or until the symptoms go away, or
acyclovir 800mg orally 2 times a day for 5 - 7 days or until the symptoms go away
Recent studies have shown that shorter treatment therapies at higher doses may be an effective alternative. For example:
acyclovir 800 mg orally 3 times a day for 2 days
I personally take acyclovir for my reoccurring genital herpes outbreaks. I take 400mg orally 5 times a day.
Good luck!

It's best not to exceed 1200mg in a day. Typical episodic non frequent recurrance dosages are 200 mg 5 times a day for 5 days or 400 mg 3 times a day for 5 days.
Nearly everyone infected with HSV2 at some time or another if only a few days a year does have the virus on their skin without any signs of an outbreak.

If you have a legal prescription for the Acyclovir, you should follow the directions on the bottle. Your Phy should have answered all these questions for you. If you haven't seen a Phy in a while, now is a good time to start. There are a lot of new meds out there. Also it used to be thought that as long as you were not having a breakout you were not contagious, now we know differently. You will always need a condom to be safe against spreading this disease. Good Luck to You.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/CuresHERPES2015UoBP
Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/68d90
