As we all know, unprotected sex is wrong. I screwed up and slept with one of my guy friends one night without a condom. I know this was stupid and being wasted isn't an excuse, but hey, it happens. Anyways, after we had sex.. a few hours later we messed around and i saw a white thing on his penis.. it didn't really look like a pimple but i wasn't sure what it was.. so i immediately stopped. i didn't ask him cause his obvious answer would be he didn't have anything. I'm really worried. Do you think it was a sign of herpes or any STD? This happened a week ago, and i am now seeing a few white-ish red pimples where i shaved yesterday. Is this just ingrown hairs or should I be worried? how long will it be until an STD shows up on a test?? ahhhhhhhh someone help me.

Sounds like your problem and his are different. If the bump was white and maybe the size of a pinhead or little bigger and if it was on the shaft especially near hairs, then I think it was nothing more than whitehead. There are oil glands in the skin there just as there is everywhere else. These whiteheads can be squeezed like a pimple but I would not do it.

You problem sounds like it is irritation from shaving your genital area.

Having said that, if you are concerned, see a Doc by all means.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

Chlamydia, syphillis symptoms, the herpes simplex virus symptoms (if symptoms show up at all), and gonorrhea usually shows up in less than 3 weeks. Everything except HIV/AIDS take 3 months to show up. HIV/AIDS take up to 6 months. Guys sometimes have harmless bumps on their genitals. To be safe, get tested in about 9-13 weeks after the exposure. Most of the STD's will show itself, if you have anything at all, by then.

Some guys have odd bumps like that on their members but it never hurts to get checked out. Some STD's only take up to a week to notice symptoms, it is better to get treated sooner before it spreads or you spread it to someone.

Probably nothing but bumps, but it could be genital warts. Be sure to go to the doc and get them checked. And keep in mind, condoms don't prevent everything. Lesson learned, I hope :)
