hmm do you mean veggie "beef" hot dogs and fake turkey meat? How about cooking up braised tofu with a bunch of veggies, and some veggie burgers? If you do them well, with some smoky BBQ flavoring, non-vegetarians may not be able to tell the difference! In other words, everyone will (hopefully) be happy.

As apparently the only person answering this question who has some non-veggie friends and has thrown a cookout before, I'm going to take a guess and say that the beef and turkey is for your guests, right?

I guess you can look at it like this: If you like the people you're cooking for, make them food that they'll like, regardless of if it is something you approve of eating. If you don't like the people you're cooking for, be they in-laws, co-workers or whatever, tell them that you refuse to cook meat for ethical reasons. Get a bunch of veg food and a bunch of non-veg food and a case or two of cheap beer and I'd say you were set.

Edit:

beadlrh also seemed to have gotten the point about food being served for guests as well. Sorry I missed that the first time around!

If it's completly vegan than you can not BBQ anything that is an animal product, which includes beef hot dogs and turkey kielbsa. If you are serving both vegan and meat foods, then get some veggie hot dogs and burgers as well as the regular hotdogs and such.
