Help me with my party checklist please?

Question

Need a list of food, music, movies, and ideas.

We're all around 17 and there is about 10 of us..

Boys and girls...
I like mostly rock music
movies - doesnt matter

i live by a beach so we may go swimming early or maybe at night

Fun suggestion: "Silver Screen" Party


* Silver platters - for snack trays

* Stainless steel bowls - for snacks

* Galvanized buckets filled with ice to keep beverages cold, 
or you can put snack mix into them. 

* Clear cups or bowls filled with silver-wrapped candies 
(i.e. Hershey Kisses), or you can use full-sized candy 
bars with the outer wrappers removed. 

* Roll of "Admit One" tickets to decorate the tables with, to 
use as streamers, etc.

* Make a mock-up movie marquee: use poster board and 
write/stencil "Now Playing ..." with the name of the movie 
that is going to be showing. Then, string flashing 
Christmas lights around the edge of it for a more 
authentic feel. 



MUSIC - Depending on your personal tastes (and your friends' tastes, of course), movie theme music could be fun to play in the background while you are just hanging out. 



FOOD: 



* Popcorn (of course) - use the popcorn holders, if you can. 

* Nachos
* Pizza
* Cupcakes in foil wrappers with silver candies/accents. 

* Pop



In lieu of pop, you can make punch.

Punch Recipe I use: 



1 can frozen lemonade

1 can frozen O.J.

1/2 gallon raspberry sherbet

2 cups cranberry juice

2 cups Juicy Juice cherry juice

2-3 cups pineapple juice

2 liters Sprite



Mix all the ingredients together, except the Sprite, until it has a slushy consistency. Add Sprite. 



Note: You can also freeze the mixture (minus the Sprite) in small plastic containers the night before. It won't freeze completely solid, but that is the way you want it. Then, just before your party starts, put the frozen mixture into the blender. Put the blended mixture into a punch bowl and pour Sprite over the top of it and lightly stir. It will have a slushy consistency and there's no need to add ice. Very fruity and delicious!

First make a mix tape(cd) of all kinds of music, make a couple of them with all kinds of genres.

Get the movies with your friends or ask them ahead of time what everyone wants to see and then have some kind of contest or game at your party were the winner gets to pick it out.

Food should be easy, but for fun pick out a theme for it and then do food according to your theme. You could even cook it all together, cooking in the kitchen with your friends could be fun and a way to pass the time.

Food list - chips, pop, cheese/cracker tray, mini sandwiches (egg salad or tuna), fruit tray perhaps, are you having pizza or bbq hot dogs? steaks? you could also have salad maybe......for music.....whatever you and your 10 friends enjoy listening to ......as for movies....most partys dont want to watch a movie but..???? a new release would be worth a shot* Have you decided once everyone has eaten, what you 'll do next other than take pics*???
