What does a 26yr old have to be depressed about? Especially with a nice relative....
Whatever cake you make (I recommend a pineapple upside down cake-they make everyone smile), dish it up and eat outside, maybe at the local park or beach.

When I turned 30 my friends made me a cake completely covered in unwrapped Hershey's kisses (stuck into the frosting). It was really entertaining and looked fantastic! If he doesn't like chocolate, then you'll have to go for the strippers. :-)
