not difficult at all... I cook my own food, it's just easier this way.
I went vegan cold turkey (no pun intended). it wasn't bad at all.
well, I didn't eat meat or dairy before that so maybe that's why it wasn't difficult.
call me crazy but when I'd go food shopping most of the time I take lists of all ingredients to guide me in buying all vegan food.
also, do some research before you go vegan. that will help.

I went from omnivorous to vegan overnight and haven't looked back since, haven't had a craving since. I'll take my food without the cruelty! If you have high integrity and care about all life, it's not that hard. If you make it hard on yourself or view yourself as somehow "giving something up" (I didn't give anything up; I've gained a lot by being vegan), then it might be harder for you. It's all in your perspective, commitment, and ethics.

I went vegetarian a while back, it is actually pretty easy. I don't like the taste of meat so that helps.
Like one of the other posters said, after a couple of weeks or months as a vegetarian the smell of meat can sometimes sicken you.
The hardest thing to do is finding good take out or "ready to eat" meals.
There will be significant changes in your "output levels". Common decency prevents me from discussing this in length and most sane people would not want me to :)

Well, I've been a vegetarian for awhile and tried going vegan for a week. It's pretty hard! You don't realize how much gets taken out of what you can eat, EX: 100 calorie snack packs, yogurt, milk, butter, cookies, cheese, etc. But, if you stay committed and find alternative stuff, it's easier.

I've been a lacto-ovo-vegetarian for many years, and I'm trying to gradually go vegan myself, but I have found it somewhat difficult. Mind you, not everyone finds converting to veganism difficult, but it is for me, because I don't like cooking, and most of the restaurants in my area aren't vegan-friendly. However, if you have the time to do the research and you like to cook, you should have lots of fun trying new vegan recipes.:)

although I have never been, nor will I ever BE a vegan, it is a process like anything else in life that you will encounter....
you need to be dedicated to your decision and do exactly as you wish. Don't forget that you are doing something that is completely out of the norm for any society, and you will be in some places a "pariah".
to be sure, I would not welcome you in my home and would not welcome you in converstaion since i do NOT agree with veganism.
This being said, your choice is your choice and you have a right to make that choice.
I wish you all the best, and hope that whatever you do makes you happy.
However, I will advise you to make sure that this lifestyle is what you really want, after plenty of research.
Good luck !!!

I did it. I went from being an almost total meat-eater to a vegan.
I had horrible cravings for meat for about 2 weeks, then they stopped. After those 2 weeks I didn't even want meat anymore. Now the smell of meat and fast food make me sick to my stomach.

It can be hard at first, but it will get easier and you'll get more experience and it'll just become second nature for you to be vegan. The hardest thing is eating out.

Alright here's what I have to say to people who are Vegan's or Vegeterians....
If you own leather or fur in any shape or form (belts, shoes, wallets, car seats, coats etc..) - then my love, eat all the grass and soy your heart desires you are still a meat eater..
So, before you start worrying your pretty little head about if Veganism is easy for you...throw out all your makeup that is animal tested before you use it, throw out your leather infused products and try living a lifestyle Vegan free before wanting to consume food that's vegan acceptible.
