Pina Colada - the ultimate 80s cocktail. Dont ask me the recipe, but its great! So kitsch, love it. Martini and lemonade is another one. With an olive, of course. BabySham... the drink with the little deer on it. Huge in the 70s.

PS Thats a great idea for a party - 70/80s Cocktail Theme.... I am nicking it. Great!!

Just the words "Long Island Iced Tea" immediately bring me back to the 80s. I don't know anyone who drinks it now, but it was very popular in the 70s & 80s.

Another popular 80s drink was the Fuzzy Navel: vodka, peach schnapps and OJ. I remember the 'Seabreeze' was pretty popular in the 80s as well: vodka, cranberry juice & grapefruit juice.

Oh yeah, 'Sex on the Beach' wasn't that invented in the 80s? Don't know what's in it, but I'm sure you could Google it.

The classic would have to be the Harvey Wallbanger. Take yourself a regular screwdriver and float a little galliano on top. It's pretty good.

Others would have to be the Singapore Sling, Fuzzy Navel, Killer Kool-Aid, Long Island Ice Tea, Sloe Comfortable Screw, Sloe Comfortable Screw against the Wall, Zombie and Planter's Punch.

I really don't think cocktails or alcoholic drinks really change with the times. Some of the funky drinks with the funky names you see now probably came about then too, but never considered "popular"... just novel. But the basic cocktails and mixed drinks... pretty much the same now.

I remember a blue-colored drink called a "Blue Hawaiian" that was served at clubs in college towns.

I heard about another "blue" drink called a "Windex" but never tasted one of those.
