I asked a question on hype of megapixels and got too many excellent answers to give just one person 10 points. To give each person SOME points would be fair. How do I do that?Just don't vote for a best answer?

That is a good choice. Some of us are just here to help people and we don't worry about the points. I just hope you got your answer.

Been there - done that. I hate the idea of leaving a question to the voters, because I think it is a courtesy to the answerers to pick a best answer, but sometimes I do just that. If you "add details" to your question and say pretty much just what you said here, I think the crew will understand. Especially since most of the answers I saw were from our section regulars who are not as concerned about points as just communicating with each other.

Everybody already "split the points," as we all got two points for answering anyhow.

I put one up asking TomTom about his new camera so we could sort of chat about it and let everyone have their say (and 2 points), but someone considered it to be abuse and reported me! Lord knows why. Maybe it was considered "personal communication," even though I did ask what he thought about the specific make and model camera that I recommend so often to others.

well, if you don't vote for best answer, then after a certain time it go'es to where anyone could vote for their favorite answer.
