Ron Paul is very favored in the US Presidential race because of his critical votes on legislations that are not against the Americans. Likewise, he has performed well in the GOP debates.

Richard Nixon stated "I am not a crook" yet he was impeached and broken.
Bill Clinton said "I never had sex with that woman" and most of us know how that turned out.
Every politician who has claimed to do everything with nothing, including the raising of taxes, has been caught in a lie, which is why so many of the voting public are disillusioned by the process. Those who go to the conventions to select the candidates are most often wealthy and have very ulterior motives when deciding who gets elected, and they have little or nothing in common with Joe or Jane Public.
