When they just aren't ready for it. And some men are never ready within their lifetimes, while other's just crave committment and a steady future - eg: wanting marry young and start a family immiediately. And no, they aren't impulsive - one of my collegues married when he was 22 and his g/friend 21 - they are still together now after almost 40 years and going strong.

Hmm i guess.. if they have been with a lot of girls before you, he wants to explore more.

1) may be he might have faced lot of trauma in his earlier life.
2) he may be afraid of consequences after the commitment. etc
