I was treating a cut and I noticed that the Neosporin had expired 01/2007... I still used it, I hope it's okay.

The dates on medication are the dates to stop selling them. My doctor told me that medication can be safely used for 6 months past that date...then toss them.

Most expiration dates have a fudge factor built into them. Neosporin is fairly stable so it will be fine.

The antibiotic in the ointment is not as strong as a current tube, but you will be okay. Just remember to also keep the cut clean by washing it with an antibacterial soap like Dial

if it hasnt lost the scab and healed up yet, use the antibacterial cream. after it has healed up, youll want to reduce the appearance of the scar, use vitamin E

it probly is, but it is cheap, so why not buy more, you could also use aloe
