Good you aren't laying there -
I went through this last year it was all stress. Anxiety then no sleep caused it all to be double.
Get up - do something each night to relax you -
take a bath or shower and use some aroma therapy things.
Read or watch a show in bed (one that doesn't add suspense)
and be sure to leave your worries behind.
If this doesn't help and it happens a lot go talk to your family doctor they should help you with some medication.
Chamomile is an aromatic agent, and its extract helps to calm, soothe and relax.
The ancient ylang ylang herb promotes relaxation and serenity, and adds a delightful, aromatic scent.

Because you`ve been asking yourself that. In order for the brain to get into that relaxing state we call sleep, it needs to be emptied by all thoughts or worries. So try not to think at anything when you get into bed.

If you are worried about something it helps to write it down . Other than that - nil caffeine or alcohol 4 hrs before bed , have a routine and stick to it .
