I have tried taking hot baths, using muscle relaxor, running my shoulder under a hot shower and even putting an ice pack on it, but still the pain is horrible.

Someone please help me since I havent been able to sleep ever since.

You either have a pinched nerve or some kind of other more serious issue. The things you have done so far should have had some affect if it were a pinched nerve, so therefore, I would call your doctor on the after hours line and explain the symptoms and he or she will advise what to do and if you need to be seen tonight or if it can wait until tomorrow. Sometimes I lay in a hot bath when this happens and when the water gets cool, I let it out and fill it back up. Hope this helps.

You need to go see a Dr for X-rays of your neck or a possible MRI. There could be some problems with the vertebrae or a pinched nerve but it could also be a muscle strain. Either way a Dr will be able to prescribe you a muscle relaxer and something for the pain.

OMG you don't mess with pain, call 911 or go to the ER. Don't worry if you can't pay the bill. I once had to stay in the hospital for two weeks cause I fractured my back, the bill was 12,000 dollars, and the state paid cause I wasn't worken at the time. Don't ignore this, go to the hospital.

Because of how severe this pain is I would recommend getting to the ER for the evaluation because as the last poster said one possibility for your pain is that of possible heart attack or something else in that area.

Off to the emergency reception for you, you have a suspected cardiac problem! Until it's proved otherwise get it checked! And go by Ambulance! Have a good day.
