So why do people keep saying Catholics are not Christians because they don't follow the Bible, have you ever attended the Catholic Mass? The Priest reads straight from the Bible and the Mass is centered on the Bible! In the Mass we pray to Jesus with the Lord's Prayer and not Mary's prayer Mary is not mentioned in the Mass unless it is in the sermon

I am a Catholic, and a christian. And Yes we do follow and believe in the bible. The bible is a main part of our mass. Yes we also do pray to the Holy Mother, and i know that many other religions find that wrong. But all religions have their own beliefs. Why call us non Christians just because we pray to the Holy Mother, Jesus, God and the Saints?
Yes, Christ comes first, and always will. But is so wrong with acknowledging the Holy Mother? We do just that. She does deserve some thanks and praise for caring and giving birth to the Holy Son. Why are we looked down upon for doing that? Who know.
All i do know is i don't care. Look down on me if you want. If you should be calling any "religion" a non catholic. go after the mormons. All they do is believe in money. They worship it as if it were their God. Have fun going after them for a change.

The hallmark of cults is extra-biblical revelation. Such as that NON-biblical hooey about Mary somehow being some sort of "mediatrix," when the Bible make it quite clear that ONLY Jesus has that role and capability. And those silly "indulgences" that were sold during the Middle Ages. The Catholic Church is chock-FULL of humanly-contrived dogmas. Many, if not even most, Catholics are Christians. But they are embedded in the largest cult that has ever existed in all world history.

A Christian is one who follows Christ. If you tailor your little Jesus to fit some conmans twisted misinterpretations, then you are not following Christ. You are following a conman. Jesus claimed to be the Creator of all that exists. That means God. There are no other true Gods. Only false gods. And they want YOU. Jesus said "Heaven and Earth will pass away, but My Word will never pass away." You and you alone are responsible for your eternal destiny because His Word is redily available to all who wish to read it. If you choose not to trust His Word, you dont trust Christ. Therefore , not Christian.

Look at the word "Christian" - that means you follow Christ.

Yes, Catholics are Christians. There are just some people who 1) don't realize it, or 2) are too moronic to accept it.

Unfortunately, people just have a very, very wrong view of Catholics. Sorry.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

It is impossible to give a universal statement on the salvation of all members of any denomination of Christianity. Not ALL Baptists are saved. Not ALL Presbyterians are saved. Not ALL Lutherans are saved. Salvation is determined by personal faith in Jesus alone for salvation, not by titles or denominational identification. Despite the unbiblical beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, there are genuine believers who attend Roman Catholic churches. There are many Roman Catholics who have genuinely placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. However, these Catholic Christians are believers despite what the Catholic Church teaches, not because of what it teaches. To varying degrees, the Catholic Church teaches from the Bible and points people to Jesus Christ as the Savior. As a result, people are sometimes saved in Catholic churches. The Bible has an impact whenever it is proclaimed (Isaiah 55:11). Catholic Christians remain in the Catholic Church out of ignorance of what the Catholic Church truly stands for, out of family tradition and peer pressure, or out of a desire to reach other Catholics for Christ.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews feel that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The factor of view of the anti Messianice Jews is nice summed up via Mark JPAS while he mentioned "it's appropriate to combination a few measure of overseas non secular factors with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, that's appeared to be incompatible with any style of Jewishness. This is the double commonplace that's implemented to Christianity although Jesus is viewed the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are checked out with even larger disdain. Why? its a canopy for there possess deviations from Judaism. Some Jews have to keep a connection to Jewish household on the grounds that they've deviated such a lot from conventional Judaism that many Orthodox query their Jewishness. They want uncover a few approach to distract awareness on the grounds that of there deviation from the Torah. This is completed via pointing their finger at others to direct awareness clear of their possess movements. You cannot supply your self a identify and assume that it makes you anything. At the identical time Jews that emerge as atheists, pantheists or quit training any detail in their faith we're informed are nonetheless Jews. They say that you'll be able to feel in some thing however Jesus. Jews name conversion "becoming a member of the tribe". Things that might by no means fly in Orthodox or for that topic Messianic Judaism can also be discovered within the Reform and Reconstructionist routine. A well instance of it is a earlier query requested right here. The man or woman asking worshiped the God Ferris however didn't feel in him or the Jewish God. The attention of the query was once" ...might you PERSONALLY consider relaxed welcoming me no longer simply as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, however as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was once obviously asking approximately changing to Judaism). The reaction was once "Reform Judaism covers a huge swath of ideals and practices and I am certain you are going to be fully permitted. ... I in my view might receive you complete heartily as a fellow Jew." So a few Jews will receive a wide variety of deviations from the Torah however no longer notion in "Jesus". Let's no longer fail to remember the Reform motion desired to difference the sabbath to Sunday to be extra like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant but you'll be able to emerge as an atheist, quit training their religion, emerge as a Buddhist, become a member of a Unitarian Church and nonetheless be a Jew within the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. There also are non Rabbinical Jews such because the Ethiopian Jews that follows the sample of the Christian Old Testament and they've many extra books that they remember to be scripture. A organization known as the Karaites is the reverse of the Ethiopian and handiest feel within the five Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews name Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and spot for your self. Don't allow any individual let you know that there aren't any sects in Judaism. They say the the lessons of Jesus are very exclusive from Judaism. They additionally declare that Jesus taught not anything new from the rabbis earlier than him. Then they we let you know that there have been no rabbis till 100 years after the time of Jesus. Its all approximately profitable the argument to them no longer approximately what is precise. The situation isn't variations however similarities. You must realize ALL the writers of the Christian Bible had been Jews however one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The tremendous majority of early believers in Jesus had been Jews. So whilst you pay attention the specified reverse you have to maintain that during brain. A Jew can feel in Jesus and nonetheless be a Jew.
