What type of hurt?

How long and how often?

Most likely not. They did it once, they could do it again.

An old Philosopher once compared relationships with hedgehogs on a cold winter day. They move closer to one another to stay warm. But if they get too close, they sting each other. So, to answer your question: Find out whether it was just a sting or an injury that went all the way to your heart and then decide.

Okay, let's get serious here. Either you have to be pretty desperate and lonely to accept a man that hurts you. Why should this be a question. You should use some plain common sense. If you go back to a person who hurts you all the time, you're setting yourself up for more disappointment and more abuse. You deserve someone better in life. Please make the right choice.

Depends on how fast you can heal from a heartbreak.
If the cause of the relationship going sour has got to do with a misunderstanding/external factor, then yes, another chance seems fair.

How did they hurt you? If it's an abusive relationship, no I wouldn't give them a second chance. If they hurt my feelings, I'd want to talk it out.

Question is too broad in scope. Hurt can mean many things and the relationship description needs to be expanded, partners, friends, co-workers. Get my drift?

Sorry

absolutely not. people's ways never change, no matter how remorseful, enlightenned and "renewed" they appear to be at first. once they get you back and are secure again, they will go back to their old habits and the cycle will start over again. don't let yourself continue to be hurt
