I've started to loose weight by succesfully raising my metabolism. I'm also soon enrolling a gym to tone up, loose some more weight and shape up abs, chest, pecs, and legs. But a bodybuilder i've met told me i should then avoid bread, suger and pasta while doing so, which was confirmed by my friend who lost loads of weight that way. I'm now wondering how do i replace these foods or what to drink without disturbing anything in my organism or metabolism and have enough energy to exercice???

Don't mess about cutting out certain foods everyone's metabolism is unique to them and this won't neccesarily work for you. If you're pleased with your steady weightloss and well done to you for it! I would continue doing it this way. As any Doctor will tell you the only way we can maintain a healthy weight is to eat sensibly, don't overindulge and exercise more. Obviously the more you put in your body the more you have to do to work what you don't need off. The trouble is you can cut out carbs, starchy foods, sugar etc but you won't be able to do this for ever and wouldn't want to probably. Your body will find it really hard to readjust to normal eating and your metabolism will be all over the place. My other half used to be a bit of a fitness fanatic and used to work out a lot and play a lot of sport but ate normally, and he was beautifully toned and fit. The trouble with that was he came to a stage in his life when he couldn't do this anymore for a number of reasons including back problems, he just piled on the weight and everything just went flabby, although he has lost a lot now due to healthy eating and hardly ever drinking alcohol. I think it's good to exercise but not overdo it, too much of anything can have repercussions in later life. We all expect too much these days, women want to be thin and men toned up and muscular, we should be more realistic and want to maintain a healthy body inside as well as out. You seem to have found your own way of loing weight healthily and I think you're doing very well, doing what you are at the moment, I would stick with that and not risk messing up your healthy metabolism. Best of luck and well done!

Never eliminate anything from your body. Once you have come to a point of plateau or you just decide maybe this one time some pasta or grains will be OK...you will gain a lot of the weight that you lost back. Portion Control is all I have to say.

Don't listen to food and body freaks. The best way is to eat a BALANCED diet with pleanty of excersise - lust like our ancestors did. You will drop to your ideal weight and be healthy at the same time. Bodybuilders and fussy eaters are neither healthy or clever.

Eat all things in moderation. Go easy on white foods...milk, bread, rice, potatoes, sugar and salt. Good luck.
