I have a month, Maybe two, to gain a few pounds. I've been underweight all my life, and - some may think that's a good thing, but to me, it's not.
i'm not comfortable with how skinny I am.
I'm 5'7 and weigh about 109 pounds.
I'm trying to gain more pounds before summer is over.
What foods can I eat to do this?
How often should I eat?
Are there any products I can purchase that may help?
I work with fastfood, We sell Hamburgers, Chicken strips, Fries, Tots.
I eat there ALOT. What can I eat there that may help as well?
Will shakes help me gain weight if I drink alot of them?

Eat every 2-3 hours but keep it healthy. Shakes help a bit because it's good quality protein-rather use meal replacement shakes than protein shakes only- it's got more calories
You are probably an ectomorph meaning you are skinny with a high metabolism. Train three times a week with 45 min extremely hard gym sessions. Keep to one or two heavy sets of 7-9 reps per exercise excluding warm ups at first .Do only two exercises per muscle group. Work extremely hard it is not fast and easy to gain muscle naturally- it is a life style. My motto is EAT BIG REST BIG LIFT BIG!
Please don't believe in so called miracle supplements they DONT WORK they just want to make money- trust my eight years of natural bodybuilding experience- i have tried them all
they wast your money! drink lots of water- your pee should always be colourless! Don't do cardio you need the extra calories to build muscle. A good ratio for eating is 30%protein, 50% carbs and 20% fat. Stick to the big exercises- squats, bench press, incline press, pull downs, barbell rows, shoulder presses, barbell curls, dips, tricep press downs, calve raises. Keep good slow form without using momentum. it's not how much you can lift but rather how much with perfect form!
Also- if you have to eat fast food chicken is high in protein and fries are high in fat and carbs but please eat fruit and veggies as well- fast food will always stay junk food!
Good luck-If you can gain 8-10 pounds a month you will achieve what i have done a few times in my way to a 300 pound drug free physique i am now 290lbs- almost there!

I am sure they may be able to, but I would not recommend it. I just recently read an article in our local newspaper about people who are "skinny fat", which means you are not overweight, but have high cholesterol from eating the wrong foods. Eating a lot of hamburgers and drinking a lot of shakes may help you gain a little weight, but may cause health problems later on. Is it possible you have hyperthyroid? I would consult with your doctor to see what he/she recommends to help you gain weight in a healthy way. Also you may want to check out GNC there may be some products they have to help you gain muscle instead of fat?

well for one you may have a really high motabolism and if you keep eating all that junk food and fast food it will really catch up with you later my suggestion is to eat 5 healthy small meals a day and take a multi vitamin eat only meats that can fly or swim because you could hurt yourself if not also work out because muscles weight more than fat good luck

u definitely need to see a doctor. if u start eating a lot of junk food u will get high level cholesterol and die from heart attack or stroke even if u re underweight. if u can't gain weight no matter how much u eat u should go to doctor and check your thyroid gland. if it is over active u need medicines. good luck

Hi there, poor you! For fast weight LOSS people use the Atkins diet. On Atkins you cut out carbs. To GAIN weight just eat as many refined carbs as you can. Cakes, biscuits, fries, creamy pasta. Also stock up on meats like bacon. But still remember to be healthy. Have a Bacon and ketchup sandwich for breakfast with orange juice. Burger fries and salad for lunch and creamy pasta with veg for dinner with a sugary dessert. Good luck! x

Go to health-foods store and buy some of the protein powder used by weightlifters. You want to gain lean mass, not fat, so stay on a balanced diet, do moderate exercise and drink protein shakes you make at home. A pound of muscle and a pound of fat each require consumption of 3500 calories.

You are one of the lucky ones that can't gain weight no matter how you eat. The solution is when you enhanced your bone structure. Have you notice women tend to grow fatter faster after their pregnancy? This is because women's bone grows bigger during pregnancy. You need to take supplement and carry weight till your muscle ache to enhance your bone structure.
Your body will refuse to put on extra weight because it knows your bone structure cannot take the weight.
