Christianity urge addiction of wine because St.Paul and St.Peter selected the miracle of wine as one of the best miracles! It was just according to their previous faith & culture.
Wine was considered as a social evil in Judaism and forbiden in Torah but it was used in cultural celebrations.
Jesus is not found Drunk! or celebrating with wine in any celebration of his time?? Read Bible!
He did make wine with water on the instuctions of his mother but he was not happy with this act!
St.Paul and St.Peter could not understand the real teachings of Jesus Christ !!
The present Christianity is nothing but Paulism !

The bible indicates food and drink should be taken in moderation. In proverbs it says too much rich food will make you poor and too much wine will make you think you were on a ship's mast in a storm at sea and awaken feeling you had been bitten by a poison snake the next.
Any consumable substance, even life giving water will kill you if taken to excess.
Michael Kelly
Addendum : being on a mast on the ship of a stormy sea and wake up feeling you had been bitten by a poison snake as mentioned in proverbs does not sound like grape juice to me.
Furthermore there is the classic Roman saying, "Veritas in vino est !" , there is truth in wine meaning when people get tipsy on wine they blurt out what is really on their minds.
This non alcholic theory of ancient wines some churches say is about as nonsensical as the "new Egyptian" language.
It is obvious some people just take the word on their church leaders rather than researching the bible and history of drink
itself. Futhermore beer it is discovered has been around for 10,000 years. The Romans though stuck to wine since they considered beer a barbarian's drink.
I recommend the book, A History Of The World In Six Glasses by Tom Standage which is light reading but does not fail to neglect the education of those who doubt the reality of beverages and their impact on history.

It's obvious you have not read the bible and especially this verse- " A drunkard will not enter the kingdom of God." That's not word for word because I have not the time at the moment to look it up. The meaning is clear though. Besides that - Much of the wine in the bible was new wine which is unfermented grape juice that will not get you drunk.

It doesn't so much as "urge" us to drink actual wine. It just tells us that prophets used to drink it. And remember "drinking wine" is often meant in a metaphorical sense. "We eat the bread and drink the wine" means "we eat the Lords body and drink the Lords blood." Ofcourse this doesn't physically mean we eat him. It means we take him into our spirit to live in us, by calling on Him. Hope that helps x

few words on this one............
wine is a pure drink.. grape juice is still impure......
good for the soul and the body too. just do not over do it.....
of the clean foods wine and bread with nothing to level it into a risen state are great for the body. if you think on these two things you get a new patch for your banner.
the wine because it is a pure drink and bread with nothing in it to make it rise. beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. for if it gets behind the pulpit it might get abused. for most of what is taught in churches is way off key.

Wine had been known to be very beneficial to your health. It lowers blood pressure and prevents heart disease, the number one killer of women. Drinking in excess is a sin, but really anything in excess is a sin. That is where will power and moderation come into play.

Christianity does not urge addiction to alcohol.
“Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise” ~Proverbs 20:1

LOL, no it doesn't 'urge addict wine.'
It's obvious from your question that you don't know English very well. So read the Bible in your own language, and it will be more clear to you.

They had no coffee or tea, wine was the dinner beverage also
recommended by health officials today.A glass is good for your health, this has nothing to do with getting drunk, which the Bible forbids.
