I have heard that using only food coloring and some lotion gives the best "fake" tan ever. I want to know if it would do any damage to my skin? I'm really tired of using those crappy self-tanners that stink and leave me extremely streaky and orange. I'm still afraid of going in the tanning beds. Thanks in advance.

try going to a salon and having it hand sprayed, i hear it works pretty good. that's what all the stars do for the red carpet. I have never heard of food coloring to get a fake tan, it might work but i would do a test spot where no one will see it before doing your whole body, i don't think it will hurt your skin, we put it in food so it can't be harm full.

You are wise to be concerned about tanning beds. They cause as much damage as the sun does.
Streaky and orange is the standard for self-tanners, I've been there myself. The very high-end specialty salons have some products that do look good when you are done. One of the keys to success in any kind of tanning is to thoroughly exfoliate your entire body before you tan.

Food coloring as tanner seems down right funny to me. If you try it, use it on a small spot before you use it all over and have a huge, embarrassing disaster.

Well, If It Stays On For a While it Will Stay on, I would Hurry and Get Tomatoe Soup, Squeeze a Few Full Lemons In It And Scrub it off with a soft cloth. should come off pretty easy with that.

Try the jergens fake tanner. it's really nice. I don't think food coloring would work.

Honestly, if you try that, you might be wishing for streaky orange. That has far more potential to be devastating to your social escapades.
