Ok, one additional point.
Because you are being administratively discharged.
While they will ship your stuff back to your home of record.
it will effect how they will send you back to your home of record and whats required when you are out processed.
1st - unlike people who are honorably discharged, who can keep their uniforms.
You will have to turn in certain uniform items. You need to ask before you return to the states exactly what uniform items you will have to turn in, so you can bring them with you.
Generally, one set of BTU's including boots, One set of your dress uniform.
( when i was being honorably discharged after returning from overseas, it was fun watching the people being forced out, have to go buy uniforms, just so they could turn them in)
2. Bring money with you, enough to pay for yourself to get to where ever you are going after your discharge.
You will not be eligible for Full travel pay to your home of record.
They will pay you 25% of the cheapest way to get you to your home of record. ( that means 25% of the cost of a bus ticket )
If your shipping a car back, it doesn't matter, they will still pay you 25% of the cost of a bus ticket.
So bring enough money to pay for yourself to get home. otherwise, you are gonna be stuck off the base, with no money to get home.
If you have any unused leave, they will pay you for that, and you will get your final pay.
But they will not pay for a plane ticket home, or if you have a car, for travel pay and per diem to drive it home.

Talk to JAG. A lot depends on your command and the specific offense. You can man up, accept the punishment and hope for the best. You can turn it down and go for a court-martial. With an Article 15, don't expect to get promoted anytime soon. About the best you can hope for is to man up, accept responsibility, ask if the commander will hold the Article 15 locally and give you the opportunity to prove yourself during the remainder of the deployment. Nobody here knows if that is likely or not. Worst case is they give you the maximum and initiate a separation packet to get you out immediately upon returning home. If you are discharged, you will never get a security clearance again. You will have difficulty obtaining jobs as a defense contractor or in the Federal Gov't. You will lose some or all of your benefits depending on the type of discharge you receive. Other than that, there shouldn't be much of an effect.

According to the last paragraph in this article i read you will get a honorable discharge unless you have something negative in your SRB( service record book ) as far as being shipped home with your stuff i have no clue. I'd cunsult with a Jag attorny and your chain of command for that info. I wish you the best of luck. Hit the Gym and pt as much as you can to avoid this.

You will receive a general discharge, which takes a year to become honorable. You will NOT be entitled to any benefits until the conditions are restored to "honorable" status. Only medical discharges and completing your contract give you honorable conditions (depending the medical review board) without the wait. You will go back to the states, and return to civilian life as normal but you will still have to wait to get your honorable status for 1 year. If you have received any type of UCMJ action against you, your conditions may be changed to reflect other than honorable, dishonorable, or a bad conduct discharge. Keep this in mind...anything other than general conditions will affect all of your benefits in some way.

not really an issue. you will get an RE3, most likely, and that doesn't hurt at all.
your HHG will be shipped back to your home of record.. NOT necessarily where you want them to go. so you will be responsible for the difference in cost if there is one.
you should retain all benefits like the GI Bill and VA services.
