a clarifying shampoo or anti-dandruff shampoo.do it 2-3 times. rinse and towel dry, if it still feels tacky repeatedly shampoo until it is all out then condition so it doesnt dry out.
Next time she has nits use conditioner on dry hair and comb it through with a fine tooth comb to get the nits out and have a bowl of boiled water nearby to drop the nits into.
The conditioner stuns them and the boiling hot water kills them. nits also dont like tea tree oil.

I would try both of the suggestions above my comments. The Dawn will work, but it will be damaging to her hair. By the way there are kits for the removal of nits -Vaseline will NOT remove them. Go to a pharmacy and have the pharmacist or a clerk show you the kits. One is called "Rid."

You should just wash her hair several... or as many times a it take to totally remove the vaseline, and use normal shampoo rather than conditioning shampoo...
Don't try anything that too strong cause it might be too harsh on her hair, therefore spoiling it after you manage to remove all the vaseline!
Good Luck!!

first try as hard as passible to remove the vaseline from the hair with a dry towel or tissue paper but don't pull the hair. after that im sure there is still vaseline in the hair, then use shampoo.

First what are nits? To remove excessive grease and oil you will need a bottle of Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and a great conditioner.

Wash repeatedly with a dishwashing liquid and then do a deep conditioning, so the hair doesn't get brittle.

Dish cleansing soap. Rub it in dry, then get it moist with water and wash it thoroughly. could take some repeated washings. merely be cautious to no longer get it in her eyes because it fairly is going to sting extraordinarily.
