I would love to see Fox broadcast all of NASCAR's races; they by far have the best coverage. When Fox signed on with NASCAR back in 01 no one knew that both NASCAR and Fox's coverage of it would be so popular. Fox had contracts with the MLB and NFL and still do; so they could only carry NASCAR for half the season.
TNT is a sub-company of NBC. Last season NBC had the most horrific coverage of NASCAR that any Sport has had to endure. For every five minutes of racing they have five minutes of commercials. There terrible coverage and over play of commercials caused nearly a 30% drop in Viewership and outraged alot of Fans. Thank God TNT only has a 6 race deal; but as far as I am concerned even one race on an NBC affiliate is one race too many. Without BP, TNT/NBC have absolutely no one of any value to cover our Sport and it showed last season.
After TNT ABC/ESPN takes over and they have been fine tuning their Busch coverage to prepare for the upcoming Cup coverage. It may be a little sloppy at first, but from what ESPN has been doing to improve Busch coverage, I am quite confident that they will do a good job with the Cup in the years to come.
Fox has set the bar real high. It is because of Fox's coverage that NASCAR is as popular as it is today. I will mis DW, Larry, and the rest of the crew; But I am looking forward to seeing Rusty and his ABC/ESPN Team do once TNT is done with their coverage.

I think Fox did a much better job of it than TNT and NBC in the past. This year Fox has slipped and its gotten way more commercials this year it seems like. I wish they would just use the same channel for all the races. I like ABC with the side by side commercial and race so you dont continue missing restarts like on TNT for 1 more extra commercial.

Personally I kind of miss the old times where you never were quite sure what channel the race was on from week to week. ESPN, CBS, ABC, TNN(now Spike), and occasionally TBS. This was back when they'd do a race and actually show battles for 20th if that was the best race on the track. They talked about more drivers also. I miss the days of Bob Jenkins, Eli Gold, Ned Jarrett, and all the other great announcers. I'm interested in seeing how ESPN and ABC are for the Cup races in August. This is the channel that gave NASCAR it's start on TV, and it showed a lot of what was wrong with the sport when they hung ESPN out to dry over money.

I don't mind the split between affiliates really - although it bites if I am out of town and the hotel I am in doesn't have TNT.
ESPN is supposed to pick some of the races up (besides Craftsmen Truck and Busch Series) in the next couple years. They usually do a good job on anything they cover..even Scrabble and Rock/Paper/Scissors championships!
Fox does do a pretty good job, but Waltrip gets a little worn during a LONG race...like the Coca-Cola 7,000 2 weeks ago. That was too long to listen to Waltrip...

I think Fox does an amazing job with broadcasting the races. I am going to wait and see how ABC will handle broadcasting the races before I make a judgement.

Um, ESPN gets the Cup Series races in the second half of 2007, with the chase being on ABC exclusively. NO TNT or NBC anymore!

Yes I would like FOX to broadcast all the races because:
1- FOX makes a decent job of covering the race
2- I don't have TNT
3- NBC's coverage was miserable last year
But it wouldn't bother me if it was on SPEED.

Yes I sure would and think it would be great if they did the commercial breaks the way ABC does with Indy..shrink the race and have another window with the commercials, that way they can show the commercials but you don't miss any of the race...but TNT does not have NASCAR for rest of year..NASCAR goes to ABC on Sept 9th.

I don't personally look down on any form of racing, but dirt racing just isn't my thing at all. I understand where NASCAR drivers came from, but that doesn't mean that myself or anyone else has to like it or be entertained by it. I respect that form of racing just as much as any other style of racing though.
