The brackets come off very easily. My teeth weren't yellow. Your orthodontist will probably tell you to go see your dentist to get an exam and cleaning.

just hang in there for the next couple of days... I got mine off a couple of months ago, it doesn't hurt really, but it does kind of feel like someone is breaking off part of your tooth--not in a painful way, but in a "hey! give me back my tooth!" kind of way. They also feel reaaaaalllly slimy afterwards. I couldn't stop running my tongue over my teeth--it's such a funny feeling :)
as for the yellow thing, it kind of depends on the person. one of my friends had this huge problem where her teeth were white where the brackets were and yellower everywhere else--although that went away after a little while--but most people don't seem to come out with yellower teeth than they had when they started. They will be less shiny and colorful though.
Have fun with your new perfect teeth! That's so exciting!!!

I had braces when I was 15 and I had them removed at 17...my experience was that it did not hurt. But who knows everyone's experience is different, and by the way your orthodontist cleans your teeth after he removes your brackets...but you might want to scheduled a appointment with your regular dentist for a thorough cleaning after your braces are removed. Good Luck!

It didn't hurt at all. I just felt slight pressure from when they removed the brackets but def not painful. Your Ortho will remove the glue bits. If it's discolored, get a cleaning or white strips can help. Mines had very light staining but reg brushing and it went away. It'll take a short while to get us eto not having the braces there anymore. I kept running my tongue over them, lol. Good luck!

it should be fine. both my kids had braces within the last 4 years, and neither one complained of any pain. and believe me...they would of. they might be a bit discolored, but buy some whitening strips to use. that should help, if not consider professional whitening. Yeah!!! for you with your new perfect teeth. Smile big!
