you didn't say WHERE on your face. my best guess is that you have in infection (a tooth maybe) or an allergy (bug bite maybe). i'd call a doctor when he's open (it's the middle of the night here). BUT if you start having the slightest trouble breathing, go to emergeny room ASAP. this could happen, if it's an allergic reaction and if it does, will only get worse if not treated.
God bless.

If by chance you are feeling numbness it is a huge possibility it could be bells palsy. There is really nothing you can do about it. I have posted a site for you to check it out and see if this could be your case.
My sister and daughter has had it. Older patients suffer allot more painful symptoms than younger people do.
Good luck

It sounds like you've been bitten by some kind of spider or come into contact with something you are allergic to. Go to a doctor right away, it could be serious.

Is it tomato-red? And spreading?
if that's the case, see a dr first thing in AM.
Maybe cellulitis. It isvery easy to diagnose, very easy to treat, but it could put you in the hospital for a few days.
Me-- 4 days in IV therapy. Very boring and uneventful, and a complete recovery.

what part? you seriously should go to a doc, no one here can diagnose. I had a swollen neck once and it was cancer, glad I went in. You go in ASAP just in case even though the odds are in your favor that it's not cancer
