One possibility could be an inflammatory condition called costochondritis (inflammation of the cartilage of the ribcage, this condition can also make one think they are having a heart attack or a problem with their lungs when there's nothing there).

In order to find out for sure what is going on this needs to be evaluated by your dr to see what they think is going on.

If it really bothers you, i suggest that you consult a doctor. There are lot of possible causes of your chest pain. The pain may be cause of a heart/lung problem or you might have costochondritis. Its better that you consult a doctor.

Depending on the type of pain, you might have anything from a muscle strain to angina (heart pain). Depending on your age, weight, gender, family, and lifestyle, you should see a doctor to rule out heart problems.

Probably it's because of the stress. I have the same problem, not so often though. I've once consulted a doctor and he told me that this is because of the contraction of bronchus.

So check it..It may be this.
