If you have someone that matches you that will donate part of their liver, then it's not hard at all. If you are on the waiting list, then it's very hard. There are over 96,000 people on the donor list for all organs, and in Feb.only less than 7,000 got their organ they were waiting for. And that's a good month.

hard in the sense, both the donor and recipient should have same tissue typing. Its not compulsory that the relatives should have same tissue typing. it does match with the strangers also.

IT'S VERY INVOLVED. FIRST YOU HAVE TO HAVE A MEDICAL REASON FOR NEEDING ONE. THEN, YOU MUST HAVE A TISSUE MATCH, FINALLY, A CORRECT DONOR MUST BE FOUND.
