Dear Friends,
I am not a doctor, but it seems to me, that, if you can do some dieting and exercising, and lose some weight, your hypertension problems will reduce. Also, probably, taking aspiring (blood thinner) may help - consult your doctor on this. For dieting, if you can take protein rich + fibre rich diet low in carbohydrates, it will fill your stomach and also keep you in good spirits.
I believe nature has given the human body the capacity to repair itself, provided we help the system and give it some time - this belief was given to me by a doctor friend. So, if you can diet with some exercising, you'll be able to lose weight and come back to normalcy. May be, even then, you may need some medication whenever the problem occurs, but most likely, you won't need continuous life long medication!
All the best for reducing your weight and becoming fighting fit!

Depends on what the cause of your hypertension is. If it is hereditary, you will probably be taking it for the rest of your life. I don't know that body weight has much to do with it, thin people can have hypertension, too. Exercise can sometimes help lower your blood pressure as well as some diet changes such as lower sodium intake.

Hello, if you are overweight because you are not eating right and also what ever you are eating in that nutrition is not enough. If you eat 100 grams of food you will get only 10 grams of nutrition. Nutrition is the key for over all health. If you have 5 kgs of fat more in your body it has to pump 1 literblood every single minute per, it pump 1440 liter of blood every single day, so it is putting more pressure on your arteries and heart. If you lose weight automatically your BP will comes down. If you are serious about losing weight contact me at ehsan1@consultant.com or log on to www.wellness.blogindia.com

If you lose the weight, the right way of course, your hypertension problems should decrease or be completely gone. It depends on the individual of course. Ask your doctor and start exercising. Best of luck

I've had a few. Not recently. The last time was like a year ago. I was frustrated and went psycho on people. I yelled at my parents. And trashed my room. Made dents in the walls. Threw stuff at a mirror. Broke it. Kicked the door in when it didn't close on the first try. I have a punching bag in the garage now lol. It lasted minutes. I could feel myself over heated and irritable all day though. I finally snapped. I felt extremely exhausted after.

Yes Hypertension is lifetime but you can control this from getting worse. Loose weight cut down salt intake, exercise regularly, and fat intake. If you are a smoke then quit. Spartan

I would strongly recommend you to consult a good ayurvedic doctor. Do not get addicted to allopathy. There are many undesired side effects. In ayurveda, there are good medicines such as Rudved/Cardoved/Suved etc. You may have to take for 4 to 6 months and stop for the rest of your life.
