I am gettin like 300g Protein and 400g Carbs, and like 3500cals or more. I train well, 5 days a week, a diff body part each day (mon-chest, tue-back, wed,- legs, thur-shoudlers, fri-arms), i get ample rest, and I know all the basics. what could be wrong with me that i dont gain? and why wont my doctors help me out? or the 4 trainers i have seen?

I can think of only three possilities:

1. Maybe you are not lifting heavy enough. Instead going for Reps? Overtraining might also be an issue.
2. Maybe you are doing an insane amount of cardio, with 3500 cals I would expect you to bulk up.
3. You are already huge, and will only see small gains.

My former personal trainer swears by "weight gain" formulas.
He used to be really skinny and now he is thick, luscious, and ripped.
Have you tried them?
Like the Joe Weider product line had a good reputation.
Do you have a GNC store or something like that?
The staff there is usually pretty helpful.
Just tell them what you want to accomplish, they can put you in touch with the right product.
Best wishes.
EDIT: There must be an equivalent to GNC where you live, go on line and search for nutrition/supplement retailers in your area, or order weight gain product on line.
As for Cornflakes spiel on not using anything artificial to gain weight, while I am totally against the use of steroids, the weight gain powders are simply calories and nutrients, so as long as you're balancing caloric intake with working out you'll be seeing the gains. You sound like you have a very high metabolism, some people need the extra boost in order to add bulk. Were you taking it regularly? Did you allow 6 weeks before giving up on it? Good luck.

First off, I don't in any way condone the taking of steroids (or any of the other commercial rubbish that claims to produce miracle muscle growth) - this is an easy step that would allow you to put on muscle now - BUT, YOU WILL PAY A SERIOUS PRICE LATER. (Side effects from these potions range from osteoporosis, liver damage, renal failure, cardiac problems, retardation/shrinkage down-stairs (yes, you know)... the list of what is very likely to happen is fairly traumatising. Maybe this was why your doctor or the four trainers didn't want to help you out.

You have been committed to this for two and a half years, you will have noticed that much of the fat on your body has been exchanged for muscle. This will allow you to form a good indication of your body-type (somatotype - endomorphic, mesomorphic and ectomorphic). The best type of body to have for body building is purely mesomorphic - large boned and large muscles - but we are all individuals and are made up of a combination of the three - (usually two predominate).

From your question, it sounds to me as if you are going about acheiving your goals the right way and that you are a strong endomorph - these people are thin, wiry and possibly tall. I also get the feeling you are young, so it could well be that you are still developing. While you're doing the right things, you aren't getting what you perceive as the right results... examine for yourself - where are you getting this perception - is it from magazines, other people or is it just in your own head? After this amount of time training, you will have noticeable results and a body to be proud of.

I am (and I'm sure others will be) impressed that you have stuck with it for so long - that shows committment - could you approach any one of the four trainers and get them to offer their professional advice on your routines. If you tell them of your committment to drug-free muscle growth and the range of exercises you are doing, they should be willing and eager to help.

I hope this helps

Ignore the ads - simply put: if it's not natural, it WILL come back to haunt you in later life - you're doing everything that will help you live til at least 100 ;~)

Try going on-line for GNC click on the link below

http://www.gnc.com/home/index.jsp

you may have a very fast metabolism and may need to eat much more then you have.

are you very young in your age?
it would also help if you give us your body weight and height, some people are very slim and some are big bone so this information can be helpful.

I'm sure you've notice some body toning in since you've been training. I'm almost sure that you need to eat much more then you have been.

i think you should train two (2) days and rest one

you should also do different sets, such as

Back and biceps (arms) – day one (1)

Chest and triceps – day two (2)

Shoulder and legs – day three (3)

Rest one day and then start over; you may need to shock your body (muscles) into doing different routines.

You’re body gets use to the same routine and needs to be changed from time to time.

good luck... :) don't give up on the training...
