Today I started pondering how one may 'create' a word and have it entered into a dictionary. How would I see about doing this? Could be a fun summer project.

I believe that new words must be submitted to the board of editors for the particular dictionary. You should check out the history of one of the largest initial contributors the Oxford English Dictionary, William Minor. He made most of his contributions while in a hospital for the criminally insane. I read a real good book about him but I can not recall the title at this time but here is a link.

I remember when "Ain't" ain't a word, but, now it is in the dictionary "Am Not" etc.. But, over the years so many people were using it, well, now it in the dictionary as a word. May not happen over summer, but, may happen in time. A word I use a lot is the "Inet", will people follow what I start, maybe someone even started before me, does anyone here know what the "Inet" is?

Have you ever read Frindle? I think you should make a big club, and have the main verb or noun a crazy word that you always use with people and encourage others to use it. Make a website on the word

To get it into Webster's it would have to become a very popular, very often used term. Like they added the term "bootylicious" after a song made that a common word.
