Since you have the flu, your body is weaker than normal. So it would make sense for you to get really lightheaded/dizzy and for the room to spin and everything, especially after you have been laying in bed all night. I wouldn't worry about it, just maybe try to get up more slowly, like sit up wait a few minutes, then stand up. I'm actually like this a lot and I get up that way so I don't wind up passing out on the floor..

Well, maybe all you have is hormones, I've heard that with teens, hormones can affect their system, including waking up. If you ARE a Teenager that is...Like, I'm 13, and sometimes i get that too, or maybe its just the cold/flu :D

food allergies sometimes cause this stuff, that just aint there when ya go to the docs office fer him to check it out....you gotta find which food is the cause by process of elimination,,fast for 11 hrs, nothing but 8 oz mineral or tap water.try a chunk of food, wait 30 minutes, try something else,,,,,,,common offenders are chocolate, white flours, peanuts, almonds, ice cream etc,,you may have a bit of inner ear infection accompanying flu where yeast, candida, cause initial irritation,,,,,swollen tissues then trap bacteria,,,,,,that causes fever symptom,,,,ya go to the doc,,,gives you bacterial antibiotic,,,,tella you its gonna take awhile for it to work,,doesn't recognize the initial problem 9yeast & candida) as meriting attention, thats why you'll be back in his office in 6 or seven weeks with the same problem, antibacterial plus antifungal,,,,,,no yeast for a couple weeks is optimum tmt, after antibacterial is all taken, try acidophilus in yoghurt to replenish beneficial bacteria in mouth & tumtum that help in digestion
