Actually it is easier for asians, indians, Hgmong and canadian and other european countries to enter the US with Visas. We have amnesty for the asians and Hgmongs I am not sure why. Do you know how easy it is for an Indian from india to start a business here. I live in WI and we have all ethnic immigrants here many are hired and their visa are paid for by companies here to come and work in the water parks. Some even end up stying after their visas expire. I think the focus is on Hispanics because of the close proximity. Heck people from hades and cuba still take the risk of trying to get here. It is a difficult issue to handle, but it definately does not make sense to deport so many poeple. Most of these folk have contributed to the economy and the are not taking jobs from anyone. If US employers can get cheap labor the will just continue to outsource their business to other countries who will do the work even cheaper. People need to see the big picture and beyond skin color. God BLess.

I don't mind other cultures in this country because we are based on a multi cultural background. However...I do think you should be able to read and speak English since we are an English speaking nation. Other countries don't cater to Americans when we go there to live...we must learn the language if it's not an English speaking country. I also don't believe anyone should be getting tax payer benefits thru the government unless they are paying into the tax program. The bill that was NOT passed by Congress was wanting to allow Mexican people to come here and provide them with FREE legal counsel if they commit a crime while in this country. I welcome anyone (who isn't a terrorist)...but learn the language, pay taxes, and stay out of trouble. If you commit a violent crime...your *** should be deported

Cultural festivals are quite enjoyable and often interesting. I think that is a great thing.
The area I grew up in had alot of people of Italian, Greek and Yugoslavian ancestry so lots of cultural events you could go to.
I just believe that if you are wanting to become a resident or citizen of the USA then you need to understand you are an American first and foremost. And you can honor and participate in your ethnic ancestry, and you should. But it should not cause a problem or a conflict with your integration into teh society.

I believe in tolerance, but I feel people has gotten out of control on that belief. The problem is that certain parts of other cultures conflicts ours. I believe that Our culture must take presendence over all otehrs. My best example is how certain other culture treats females. Its fine at their home, but ourside, they must respect females. I had a problem with one work place that a hispanic, Philipino and a Muslim treated the females like crap. I helped some of my coworkers file an EEO complaints, and was only able to get the Hispanic and Philipino fired.

I live in the UK and we have many different cultures over here. I actually don't mind them being here, but I object to them trying to stamp their ways onto this country.
The UK is a Christian country, we celebrate Christmas/Easter. In some areas the local authority has banned Christmas decorations as it might be offensive to other religions.
There are many other examples simular to the above and I feel if you go to a country, you should abide by their culture.

Of course not. Other cultures have made America what it is. Other cultures also have to blend in with the rest of us.Give and take I would say.You must bend alot if you are a first generation American. It is never easy to come to a new counrty no matter where you are from. You have to blend in or everyone will suffer.

I think that having multiple cultures is part of what makes America great. It is only when people refuse to give up their culture and force it on the people of their new country that I have problems with anyone.

Obviously your in the US, here in the UK we don't mind other cultures, but what we object to is our government making us change our ways, so as not to upset these immigrants, without a doubt other cultures can add to the diversity of a country, but here it seems we are being taken over and told not to complain as this is racist.
