The bible makes it clear that sin is Sin, we are all guilty and not one is anymore or any less guilty then the other.
------------------
Homosexuals some say they were born that way, yes indeed they were born sinfully natured as everyone else but just because you feel as if what your doing is right don't mean it is, because their are people who think killing people is ok that dont mean it is, God allows you to be dwelt in certain sins so they themself may conquer that sin and teach others to stay strong no matter what theyre strugglin with.

You write:
>The bible makes it clear that sin is Sin, we are all guilty and not one is anymore or any less guilty then the other.

Try reading in context. Some sins are worse than others. Being homosexual isn't a sin. Sins, you see, are ACTIONS, not states of being.

As for being born "sinfully natured," that is your religious belief. Judaism the faith which contains the laws of G-d from which "to sin" is defined, doesn't believe in this "sinfully natured" stuff.

So, what do I think of homosexuals? The same as I think about all other people: they are children of G-d, doing the best they can. Some are great people, some are jerks. It just goes all ways.

There are two passages in the Bible which homosexuality is mentioned.

One is in the OT, where it says that a man cannot lay with another man as he does with a woman. Which is merely stating the obvious. A man can not lay with another man as with a woman, as a men do not have vaginae. This is a strict interpretation of the passage, so don't get angry with me! :)

The other passage is from Paul in the NT. He says basically it is a sin, and they should be punished.

But I say to you, who do you follow, the words of Christ who preaches love and acceptance, or the words of Paul, who, like all of us, full of sin, contradictions, and being wrong?

Christ never said a word about homosexuality being sin or being wrong. He also did not punish anyone, save people who were making a profit in a temple and a fig tree. Instead he even practiced love when his life was literally on the line.

So if I choose to follow someone from the bible, let it be Christ, not Paul.

Can I ask you an honest question in response? Has a homosexual, bisexual or transgendered performed damage of some sort to you or your person? Think logically for a second: a gay person is still a human being. How does your attempt to change the way they think going to make any bit of difference in the world? Like it or not, you live on the same planet as they do, and like all other homophobes, the stance that you've taken against them is doing nothing but changing this country into a fundamentalist Gulag.

What people don't get is that it isn't a choice you make to be Gay/Bi/Lesbian. You can't help it if you don't like the opposite gender. I am Catholic and i don't believe that if you truly love someone that that is a sin. The bible also says to treat others as you want to be treated. It is the Golden Rule, and would you like to be told that what you are feeling is a sin? Would you feel loved by God if his words are telling you that you and the one you love are immoral and wrong? My mother is a Lesbian, my sister is Bi - sexual and i am a Lesbian. I do believe in God, my family is Catholic. What i don't believe is that God would decide that just because we are different we are wrong. Were we not made in his image? Yes he gave a free will so we could choose what path we go down in life. But your sexuality is not a choice. You can not decide to love someone or not.

"Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren." - 1 Cor 16:11 KJV

By "practicing homosexual" we mean someone who CONTINUES in his lifestyle of PERVERSION.

Is there hope for the homosexual?
Yes! It is not an unforgivable sin. The Scripture given earlier pictures the perosn who CONTINUES a homosexual life style as the one without hope of heaven. While the mind of the homosexual is extremely warped and twisted, TRUE REPENTANCE can bring change to his life.

As shown in 1 Corinthians 6:11 (above) God can change the nature of a homosexual. But the person must be TIRED of his sin and want A GENUINE change before even God will help him to change.

Believers have responsibility to HATE sin in any form and this includes homosexuality. But Believers have the responsibility to LOVE homosexuals and DESIRE to help them.

The believers is to LOVE all people. But the believer is NOT to CONDONE, LAUGH AT, or in any WAY encouraged to REPENT.

If it doesnt hurt anyone else, then its ok by me. What do I think? Well I think its a choice, but one based on internal feelings of masculanity or feminity, and many I've met seem to have less then affectionate mothers. So those internal feelings can be dictated to a degree by the environment which means choice can play a large part.... but for some people the physiology is really onesided and they dont have a choice.

What do I think? Like almost any other group of people: some of them I get along great with, some annoy the heck out of me, and some others I'm indifferent to.

And I really couldn't care less whether homosexuality was a genetic or behavioral thing, or some combination of both. I have still yet to hear a valid secular argument against it.

It's a sin, I think that's true. A Bisexual Christian like me knows that. But what does it do for a homosexual to know that? Or a Bi person? Why not preach Grace through Christ for those who trust him? Let God do the convicting. He's the one who saves.

Of COURSE the Bible says (in several passages) that homosexuality is a sin.

I haven't met too many, but the few I've met were nice enough people. Believe it or not, I did NOT have the urge to beat them into a bloody pulp, everyone. :P

I can like them as people, but I don't have to like what they do behind closed doors. Love the sinner, hate the sin after all.

I believe people are born with a desire to love the opposite or the same gender... or maybe even both. I do believe on rare occasions, it may be a case of someone seeking nurturing from the same sex out of choice because of a bad situation with the opposite gender, but that's rare.

And I think it's hideous that religious people say it's okay to be gay just not act on it. So... god will love them as long as they never have a loving relationship they would enjoy, but force them to live a lie? Wow... can't wait to worship THAT god.
