I always changed it to say:

Basic
Invitation
Before
Leaving
Earth

The Bible is an invitation from God to enter into a relationship with Him. "Instructions" always sounded like a set of things we had to do. "Invitation" always sounded like we are welcomed.

Giving you a star still anyway.

I always thought it was short for "Buy-Bull".

Though if the Bible are the basic instructions, I'd HATE to see the unabridged instructions. What do all those "begats" have to do with instructions? And how come no Christians follow the "instructions" of Leviticus?

You're making me grin despite myself. This is about the best I have ever seen. Isn't the truth a kick in the butt sometimes? Yes, you deserve a star!

Here is my acronym based on the what the bible teaches on how to act on fellow human being (esp. the OT).

What is worse, is that some people have actually acted upon the bible's teachings. A few have been punished in our courts.

BIBLE=

Brutal
Injuries
Bestowed (on)
Loving
Earthlings

I don't believe that at all. The Bible is nothing but man-made myth wrapped in mistakes and contradictions.

I tend to look at it more like this:

Basic instructions for the
Insecure, who need to
Believe in things that
Lack any sort of
Evidence
