When you say that he went back into the world, do you mean that he left God and his faith? Or are you saying that he is caught in a sin struggle? Or are you judging him unfairly? If God is leading you to a life that is separate from the secular life that is one thing, but what does it matter that your youth pastor left God? You need to follow Jesus' example, not your youth pastor. Thank God for whatever good you received from your youth pastor, but look to God, the giver of every good and perfect gift, to lead you. Humans will fail you, Jesus will never fail you.
Don't be so hard on your youth pastor. If he is in sin, then pray for him. If not, then don't judge him. Either way, pray for him. But don't make him your hero, that's what Jesus is for!

Time and experience. As you grow ( and it will seem difficult sometimes) it will become easier. But then there will be plateaus. I also noticed that you kept writing you were spending time in the world Maybe this was a freudian slipp that explains a lot. It could be that you have been spending too much time in the world and not enough in the Word. Try praying Psalms 139:23&24. for a while.

Maybe he knew about God, but did not know Him? Who knows.. it is between him and God.
You can see clearly the old ways are no longer your ways. You have come to know God, and His Spirit has changed your heart, mind and soul. Others on here would have you believe that you are "brainwashed", but it actually is just proof that you are truly a child of God now.
We always have free choice... some do leave God for whatever reasons they feel justifies it. I also find the world and the old ways are just not the same anymore, does not have the same appeal that it once had. I also know that there is a living God, and it would be foolish to turn back to my sinful ways.

He wasn't in the world before? Did he like...head to Mars? (A partially joking question, but a serious one. What do you mean by you "went back into the world?")
I think if Christianity does not point you in the right direction to help you enjoy life, you are not using it properly. Maybe listen to Elvis and be amazed at his fantastic voice and what a gift God gave him. Try to see God working in all things...not just the things that are blatently obvious, such as Christian Music.
When you see God working in all things, you will see God's true power.

i think its all about the situation that you're in. if u have been going thru a lot of stuff lately, then it will be easy for you to go into the world. it wont be so easy to come back though.
in your case, u only lasted a couple of hours because u forced yourself into the world. if bad things were to happen in ure life, it would be easy for u to turn away from christ because u would sort of feel like God has turned away from you.

Because you abuse your faith like a drug?
That's probably why. I don't oppose faith by any means, but one should be well-rounded in all aspects of life. It's just not healthy to focus all your life in a little bubble.
And music does not have to be religious to be deep and meaningful, if you've forgotten.

Back in to the world, were you in space? Listen to yourself, what has happened to you, you need to reconnect with reality good and quick.

I think maybe you need some therapy that isn't "church" related.
