i got a tattoo on my middle finger 4 days ago, and i'm noticing a couple of potential problems. the design is in blacki cursive letters "cherish"; in some places, the line is still black, but, a portion of my skin underneath the tattoo is grey (bordering the actual line if not worse)- sort of looks like i got it done 100 years ago and it bled into the surrounding skin - is this something that is normal and will fade with time?

is it because it was done too deep?

finger tattoos have to be done many times. i have a friend with one and he has had it touched up two times already. your tattoo artist should have told you that but just because of the location and the skin there it has to be done many times. i hope your tattoo artist does free touchups. definitely go back for one in about a month.

Yes, that will happen, because you use the under part of you fingers more than the top. Just like the bottom of your foot....
people are asking me all the time.......hey, why is that tat on my foot fading.............I tell them....1, you walk on the bottom of your feet and 2, you didn't get it done here so I could have told you that...................lol

if it looked normal the first day, then it will be normal once it is done healing. Tatoos scab over, then it schluffs off, then you have the actual skin and tatoo, dont pick at the scab, or you will take the some of the ink out.
