wearing expired contact lens may harm your eyes.
when u wear contact lens , a layer of so call ed protein is deposited on it.
lens are so designed that they allow some level of permeability so that your black portion of the eye is not completely withdrawn from outer environment. ie. the atmosphere.
eyes requires constant wetness and oxygen to function properly. expired lens act as a blockage to your eyes and your eyes my suffer from lack of oxygen and wetness that may cause rashes, redness , continues watering, and at most blindness.
so PLEASE DON'T WEAR EXPIRED LENS
one way to reuse the expired lens is to put the lenss , overnight in a lense solution with the cotanzyme tablets(these tablets are available on all the chemist shop and u can get them by saying lens ka protein remove karne Ki tablets)

In contact lens, there is a membrane that help to lubricant or to moist the surface of your eyes so that it will be comfortable in your eyes. This is why your lens must be stored at a liquid right? So that it will keep the lens lubricated. However, in the expired contact lens, this membrane is gone and do not care how long you keep it in the liquid, it won't returned and if you use it, your eyes will itch and irritated and in worse condition, you will get infected.

Based on my experience when I tried on my expired contact lens, it was more difficult to take off. Hence, multiple attempts in removing it irritated my eyes. I don't recommend wearing it once it expires.

If the lenses are soft lenses, they may become hard. Some fungus may form on the lens surfaces. Check with the manufacturer about the dangers of using contact lenses after the expiry date. Manufacturers use expiry date as needed by regulators and as abundant precautions against product liability suits.

The most significant thing that happens is you will have less grounds to sue the company who made it or the person who prescribed it or the person who sold it to you if you have a "bad outcome." So only wear contacts that are within their due date. That way, if you get an infection you can sue for hopital bills and pain and suffering!

Gah, I hate our legal system.
