So a normal day at the moment includes a bowl of porridge, a mandarin and a banana, maybe a couple of crackers and cheese, a salad with tuna, corn and kidney beans, a couple of handfuls of peanuts and some organic soup, give or take a few bits and pieces - and allowing for the odd bowl of pasta or slice of pizza etc here and there.

But I just can't ignore the chocolate cravings so I've been making do with a hot chocolate, chocolate milk or a chocolate flavoured protein drink, normally one a day.

Is this making everything else redundant? I'm trying to lose three kilos in two months.

I ride my bike at least four hours a week for exercise.

no - it doesnt, just count calories consumed during the day and as long as they are not more than calories burned during the day you will not gain weight.
for chocolate cravings - keep at least 70%cocoa chocolate in your freezer and take a piece when you want -when frozen it last longer
you can get rid of any cravings in 3 days - its scientifically proven
peanuts - dont underestimate their calories

Honestly, i think your diet should consist of small meals every 3-4 hours. Even if you're at work, you can sneak in a couple of bites of a sandwich or something. By eating more you build your metabolism to function faster. Also, exercise a bit, even walk around your neighborhood, it should help out a bit. By doing this eating chocolate and junk food will not affect you, but in order for that to happen, you have to eat healthy for two to four weeks. After you will probably see some results and the occasional junk food will be no problem.

If you just have the protein shake then it sounds like a low cal diet to me... except for the etc part where you say "a few slices of pizza" ... that that etc can mean pretty much anything .. and two slices a day can amount to an extra thousand calories .... you have to factor those "etc" things into your total calorie intake for the day....

Anyway.. you can also do some exercise.. which helps burn calories even while you are resting.

Weigh yourself every week and see if you are losing at least a third of a kilo every week. If you are, you're doing fine. It doesn't sound like you are consuming too many calories in a day, so if you aren't losing enough weight, do more cardio. One chocolate milk or protein drink a day sounds like you are keeping your craving in moderation. So increase your cardio if you want to burn more calories.

On that diet, three kilos in two months is easily achievable. In reference to your chocolate cravings, of course if they were nonexistent then the better off you would be. However, if you could instead use a sugar free cocoa mix or skim chocolate milk then you will be fine and on track.

No, just make sure to count the calories, fat, and carbs in your diet totals. Don't go over the limits of your diet and you should be fine.
