I have known this girl since we both were in high school, we are now both graduated from college. I dated her cousin but we are not together any longer since beginning of our college years. Now the girl used to date this guy and we all used to hang out, but not any longer. The girl was going to get married to this guy and they had a child together which is now 10 years old, but they haven't been together since their son was 3 years old, due to the girl being dirty and saying if he doesn't buy me a platinum ring I will not marry him. I told her that it shouldn't matter how much the ring cost do you love him? Anyway me and the guy hooked up together, because we used to talk before about our partners about what we don't like about them, and we now have a 2 year old daughter and are planning on getting married this year. I called and apologize to this girl because it was really bothering me that I did this to her, but I can't take what I did back. Is there anything else I should say or do?

She's very selfish and materialistic and I would not apologize at all. SHE's the one who screwed up their relationship so you have NOTHING to apologize for.

Your apology was simply a start in a chain. The other thing is that you should show now that you are sincere with your apology. I cannot tell you exactly what you should do to show sincereness but I can tell you this:
EVERYTHING TAKES TIME.
you need to have patience before you see any signs of improvement.
TIME HEALS OLD WOUNDS.

WOW!!! You want us to justify your crappy actions. You really believe by asking this question and letting strangers tell you how sorry they feel for you..means what you did is ok? I am sure the ring excuse is your way of believing what you did to your friend is alright. Basically you had a longtime friend, stole her man from her after he was hers and she had a child with him, got yourself pregnant, had a poor little girl who is stuck in the middle of this crap. Now as if that's not enough backstabbing...you call her to apologize..I am so sure just so you can rub it in her face that you are getting married to the man/father of her son. The same pathetic man who wouldn't buy her a ring and marry her! Hmmm...all I have to say is WHO"S THE DIRTY ONE? WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND HUNNY!!! Time to change something in your life and you should start today : you don't need approval of anyone. Don't appologyse. Stop it. The more you will appologyse, the more she will make you feel guilty, thow u shouldn't feel guilty at all. She didn't deserve this guy. Be a proud woman, keep your head high, smile and love.
