If I mix warm water and salt for use in a Nettie pot to cleanse my sinus cavities, will my body absorb a lot of the salt and increase my sodium levels?

It's good that you are - you care about your pet and don't want to put it at risk. Injections are relatively easy to give with some basic instruction from a nurse. One thing that helped me with the occassional pet that didn't want to hold still, was to fasten their lead to the collar and the handle of the lead to an inaminate object (trailer hitch, door handle, etc.) and then grab and lift a hind leg (or having a helper/family member do so) with a firm grip. This immobilizes the dog and makes you more confident when you begin giving shots. Ask a nurse appropriate needle size (smaller means less pain), maintaining sterility, how to be sure to line up the appropriate site for the injection, how to withdraw the solution properly into the needle, how to make sure there's no air bubble in the needle pre-injection, how deep to insert, and pace of fluid push. You'll feel far more confident after you get that information down. All the best in helping your pet and saving you money you can use elsewhere for your pet's benefit!

Your body can only take sodium thru oral intake of salt saline or other packed oral electrolyte mixtures (with Sodium Chloride,Potassium Chloride,Sodium Citrate,Tri-sodium Critrate Anhydrus),those can be taken from intra-venus saline solutions too,but not mixed with hot or warm water). The way you mentioned is not the way to take sodium-ions or salts by your body.
