I am on L2 Visa, Canadian living in the States, end of July i am going to canada for a wedding, but my visa expires early august. Will it still be ok for me to return to the US a few days before my visa expires?

Well, my dad sent the papers for renewal a while back anyways, but i might get it a few days after my current visa expires.

As long as it is valid then you are legal, but of course as soon as it expires you would be an illegal. So i would be renewing it if you can.

I would find out about renewing. As long as it has not expired you probably would not have an issue. Once it expires though you will join the ranks of the many illegal immigrant currently in that boat. That visa is like gold in the US. Good Luck!

Make it easy for yourself and get a new visa now!!!! If immigration is in a bad mood on that day you could have trouble - not worth the risk!!!

You should definitely be careful. If you have ties to Canada, you can also try to apply for (extension of) visa there at the Embassy.
