Probably strain or infection in the tubes of the testicle, see the GP if this has been happening for a while especially if there's any swelling too. It's vital of course for any man to do regular testicular checks themselves, just to be aware of any changes early on, or get a partner to do it it's more fun then as well! It's better to get things sorted sooner rather than later with any problem with your testicles. Some men leave problems in that area too long because of embarrassment but I'm sure the Doctor would prefer you saw him straight away than risk finding something more serious that has been left unchecked. If it's bothering you go get it checked out, just to put your mind at rest, it probably is just something trivial. Well done for posting this question so many men won't talk about anything in the testicle department, all the best to you!

Although the pain may not be cancer, it CAN be something as serious.

Testicular torsion is an ailment that "strangles" the testicle by cutting off the blood supply to the testicle.

I agree with everyone who said that you need to see a doctor ASAP. If caught early enough, the problem can be fixed and your testicle permanently secured to the scrotal wall to prevent torsion from reoccurring.

Perform a self-exam for cancer symptoms while in the shower and if you feel a lump or your testicle seems harder than normal, you may have cancer.

If you don't feel that, then make an appointment immediately to determine if you may be suffering from testicular torsion - which over time will kill your testicle & become extremely painful if you leave it unchecked.

Either way, get to a doctor - QUICKLY.

Good luck to you.

It could be an infection, blockage in the tubes, twisting in the tubes or a cyst. If there is redness or swelling you need to be admitted immediately..You need constant steady blood flow to your testicles or your risk tissue and cell damage not to mention sterility...I would suggest you don't wait until that happens..Go to the doctor ASAP!

Let's assume you do not know of any injury to your testicles, and that you do not wear brutally tight pants...

it could be your testicle, or it could be blood vessels next to your testicle, or it could be a nerve that goes to your testicle pinched someplace else altogether (like your lower back).

If it is your testicle, it could be an infection of either the tubes coming out of it, causing blockage and pressure, or infection of the testicle itself, or it could be cancer. It is worth going in just to see on this one. Either way only a doctor can fix it.

If it is blood vessel problems, these can be fixed pretty easily and happiness will again be yours.

If it is a pinched nerve, or you think it is likely that it is, your best bet is a chiropractor. Even doctors are beginning to admit they stink at fixing pinched or entrapped nerves.

It could be simple orchitis, but this usually affects both sides. Hernia or torsion can produce pain. Finally sinister cause need to be excluded. Go see your GP.
