Of course I don't believe in God.
I can say with 100% certainty that God (capitalized to mean the Christian god), as Christians define him, doesn't exist. I can say this because a self-contradiction can't exist.
Another example: one can say with all certainty that a square with five sides does not exist. Not because one has searched every part of existence without finding it, but because a five-sided square is impossible, being a self-contradiction. So too, is the Christian God, as Christians define him. So, here's the short version of my proof that the Christian God does not exist (there is more than one self-contradiction that will fulfill the same purpose, but I'm only laying out one):
The Christian God is defined as perfect, and also as the creator of the universe and everything in it (it isn't really important what God created or didn't create, just that he created something). To be perfect is to be complete. To be complete is to lack nothing. Desire can only exist when there is a lack of something (that something is what is desired). Therefore, since God is perfect, he desires nothing. Since he desires nothing, obviously he would not desire to create anything. A perfect being would do nothing but exist, because actively DOING something would imply a desire (to do whatever it is), which a perfect being cannot have by definition.
Therefore, an entity who is both perfect and a creator is a self-contradiction that cannot exist, just like a five-sided square. Since Christians define their god this way, one can say with absolute certainty that this god does not, indeed, cannot exist.

YES i do so believe in a Father God that is the grand Master of all that is or will ever be.
the problem with most preachers is they are not Gods' servants! they are beggars and sheep tend to follow mostly anyone that calls themselves a teacher of the word. now dumb sheep get fleeced all the time, they give hard earned money to very rich preachers that always want more!
most people have no idea what is written, they just take someones word and never study for themselves.
ask any Christian why Cain is not listed as a child of Ah-Adam (this is 'The Adam' from whom Jesus would descend). Cain has a bloodline that is different from Adam's. the first child listed in Adams bloodline is Seth for Abel was murdered and had no children. but Cain has off-spring and they have a different bloodline. so now the question is who was Cains father? and why would you cover private parts if you had eaten an apple? have we all been lied to from Sunday school? was this topic too touchy to discuss with children? and has this lie taken root in our churches?
we have science that teaches us man is older than 7,000 years yet the church say not so. so my question is who did Cain marry? if there is only Adam and Eve then how did Cain go to Nod and take a wife?
we learn from the word that there were hunters and gathers in the world. then God saw he did not have a man to till the land so He formed Ah-Adam from the dirt, and put him in a garden, then later he took from his DNA and created a wo- man with a womb or Eve.
there is more to Gods' words than we can grasp if we never read for ourselves!

Who told the sun where to stand in the morning? And who told the ocean that you can only come to far? Life, the world, the universe for that matter, are far to complicated, to have come into being without a supernatural force behind. Being a wiccan, I believe in a Great Spirit or The All Father as I like to call him.

So often, atheists and believers of different religion argue over the reality of God, each side sticking to its own level of awareness and believing that the other is wrong. But to me, God is neither a thing nor a person to be argued or debated about. God is an experience that can be felt only in a certain state of mind, a state that is thoughtless and beyond intellect.
God is an experience of intuitive existence. It is a feeling of bondless freedom, limitless vastness, unbroken time that is always in the present. Past and future have no meaning in that experience. For gaining this experience, the analytical mind is an obstruction, individuality a limitation, and intellectual arguments only a source of confusion.
The ultimate reality is unknowable and beyond description. One can only feel it within oneself when ego is detached from the self. Those who have experienced it are convinced beyond doubt.
It is futile to argue on grounds of rationality and analytic thought since this experience is beyond the domain of intellect. The effort to explain this experience is an intellectual exercise that is seldom fully successful.
Personalisation of God is a convenience devised to heighten the emotional connection to enable the experience at the level of feelings. It is an effort to present the infinite in finite terms so that the conscious mind gets a feel for it. Surrender to the infinite is inevitable when one faces the vastness of Reality in relation to oneself.
Anybody with some interest in astronomy gets a feeling of this infinite existence. Self-confidence arises by association of oneness with the vast Reality, but arrogance of individuality is an expression of ego. Those who have experienced the Reality are humble as the saints. Those who claim to conquer the world travel to the grave on the shoulders of others.
No star is bigger than the galaxy and no galaxy is bigger than the universe. Intellect provides information but intuitive experience has a significance of its own. There is no point mixing the two.

Yes, His name is Lugh, Pan, Dagda, Odin and a thousand other names. He is the Creator, Protector, Destroyer and Great Father of us all. His power is such that he can reach into the heavens and touch the stars and walk upon the sun. He is what we all desire to be at our deaths. Of course I believe in God.....and the Goddess as well.

I absolutely believe in God. I believe I was born with a purpose, so I do not sit around and pray for material things or ask for handouts- I live each day to the fullest and always look for ways to help others.

God is God. The one and only. What will you say to him, as you stand in judgment? Regardless if you believe or not, he created you and when you speak of murder... this is one of the ten commandments you will be judged on.
As far as "whining and crying" about hand outs...If I'm blessed in asking God for his blessings and you're jealous of it...that's your issue, get over it and get a life! Jesus told us to ask for whatever we want and it will be given to us.
"So I say to you ask, and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened to you.
I'm not gonna quote scripture or where you can find it because you don't believe...so therefore it won't be given to you. Believe it or not.
Nice diatribe though!

Wow, do we have issues or what?
What did the Mormons ever do to you? I mean, your assessment of Mormons as lazy layabouts who only PRAY for money, is SO off base as to be laughable.

Not as defined by any religion that has ever created one to be worshiped.
God as described by western religions can not exist, it is a creation of the mind.
Religion is a tool of the weak to justify their weakness and laziness.
