People generally tend to use "blind" to the phrases love and religion with the misperception that both should be founded completely on a few emotional reaction. Interestingly, the Bible does now not describe love or religion as being "blind". For illustration, 1Cor13: four-eight offers a complete description of affection that leaves no room for blind emotion, however alternatively is stuffed with rational movements that display love. Similarly, religion isn't a blind advisor, however in line with Heb eleven:a million " Faith is the confident expectation of matters was hoping for, the obvious demonstration of realities even though now not beheld". So a character having actual religion might base his 'confident expectation ' at the ' obvious demonstration of realities' that lead him to suppose in its long run success. For illustration, a God-fearing character would logically suppose within the success of long run prophecies, founded on the truth that beyond prophecies had been fulfilled. Conversely, purpose and good judgment can also be blind if now not tempered with love and religion in God. Both purpose and good judgment don't seem to be founded at the emotional, such a lot of do not feel of those traits as blind. Yet, purpose and good judgment through themselves generally tend to guide a character to suppose simplest what's noticeable along with his possess eyes. For illustration, a character rationalizes from the truth that he can not see God, and involves the hasty end that there need to now not be a God that exists. Or a character would possibly reject some thing that can not be scientifically verified. That leaves a void for the tremendous quantities of solutions that can not be convinced with a systematic clarification.

"Blind faith" is just another of thousands of man-made terms for when he's really saying "I don't understand something".
And "heretics" weren't burned at the stake- heretics burned at the stake those who DID believe.
I consider myself to be an extrememly intelligent individual who also just happens to believe in the existence of God.
Faith cannot be measured or quantified in a laboratory or in a mathematical calculation. If it could, it wouldn't be faith. That is the whole idea behind faith- in our modern world of scientific "belief" that if you can't see, feel, touch, taste, smell, or observe something that it doesn't exist, and considering that science has discovered methods for annihilating all life on earth, if faith doesn't make sense to you in light of these FACTS, then you yourself make absolutely no sense to me. In this world, if faith wasn't considered irrational, I'd have nothing to do with it-ever.

If Blind Faith means accepting the teaching of religion without knowledge or without learning/studying, then all religions, to a certain degree, will have followers with Blind Faith.
According to Islamic teaching, faith should be reinforced through studying or learning the teaching of the religion.
Gaining knowledge is very important so the followers of a religion can distingush which one is the true teaching of his religion and which one is actually not the true teaching of his religion but mistakenly presumed by the society as the teaching of his religion.

Faith really isn't blind if you apply it properly.... everyone including yourself has applied "blind Faith". All children do. We believe what our parents tell us and we learn from them. Provided they are good parents we gain trust in them. As we grow and gain wisdom and experience, we rely on knowledge. But there is still much that requires Faith. When applying Faith properly, it becomes knowledge. It is confirmed to you. I know God is real, even though I have not seen him while here on earth. I know he is real because I have exercised Faith in Him... I have had confirmation of it and I have seen many examples of His works in my life. Faith is only Blind to those who are net yet ready to believe or make the effort.

I am a Christian, but I don't know what you mean by blind faith. The writer of the book of Hebrews defines faith in God as "being certain of the things which are to come" Hebr 11. God himself invites us to reason with Him. Are you up for the challenge?

Listening to, and believing in, the words of others is so much easier than thinking for yourself. I mean, the people saying these things MUST have thought about them for a loooong time before they say them...right? They can't just be spewing ideas without giving them any rational thought, can they? So, their thoughts must be good, true and righteous and I'll believe them.

Satan deceives people and blinds them to the truth of God and His word. Christians believe, based on facts. I guess some people just like to spout, like you say. And remember, those who trust in their own wisdom rather than the wisdom of God, are foolish in their beliefs, or lack thereof.
