Your genes dictate your height. Unless you want to try some shady surgery that involves cutting your bones and letting them fuse together at a greater length, then you're stuck being 5'5" (if you're an adult).

So many people ask this question. Unfortunatley, the answer is always the same: you can't "make" yourself get taller. Your height is pre-determined in your genes. How tall are your parents? You're likely to be around their height.
The only thing you can do is be healthy and active so you don't stunt your growth. Also, having good posture will help to elongate your body and give the illustion that you are taller. How old are you? You probably haven't hit your full growht spurt yet--you'll grow up until your mid-twenties, but are likely to grow the most while in puberty.

How old are you are you still growing? It really depends on your age if anything you do now will make and difference. If you are finished growing there is nothing you can do to grow taller. Also genetics have a lot to do with how tall you will be. Really all you can do is make sure you do nothing to stunt your growth to assure you grow as tall as your genetics will allow. Exercise is important while you are growing! The type of exercises should include stretches and yoga type exercises. Weight lifting can actually stunt growth. Exercising will insure that your bones and muscles are growing strong. Next it is important to eat a healthy diet get plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of milk and milk products like cheese and yogurt. Try to keep junk food to a minimum! Stay away from drugs many of them can stunt your growth. If you do these things you should grow as tall as you are meant to be. This is all you can really do. You may hear of Growth hormones or other supplements that promise to make you grow taller these are not proven and from what I hear may not be safe I highly suggest you stay away from them! good luck!

Genetics plays a role here. If you are destined to be 5'5", then that may be all you will get.
However, I have heard that there are various supplements out there that provide enhancement in that area. I think they stimulate your thyroid to release more growth hormone if I'm not mistaken. I would consult a physician on that one.
Alternately, there was device in the middle ages that individuals were place on in which they were stretched by their feet and head or shoulders. I don't think it was used to increase height, but instead was used to pull people apart if they disagreed with the King or Queen. I would not recommend this method.

First don't do steroids, that will make you shorter in other areas. As far as getting taller, its prob not going to happen unless you are still young. Start lifting weights, buff up some and that may help your self-esteem, and you won't focus on what you arent liking about yourself.
In the meentime, stand on stilts.

There is currently a procedure being done in certain Asian countries where they slice your femurs, force the pieces a small distance apart using braces and then allow the bones to heal together. Then they do it again. Each time they do this adds a small amount of length to your legs, making you taller.
The downside is it hurts like hell, takes forever, and you can't walk at all until the process is completely done.
Good luck with that.

There are two ways to get taller, grow or wear higher shoes. Your height is determined by the genes you inherit from your parents so there isn't anything you can do about that. I am assuming you are male. So take heart, males often grow in height well into their 20's.

Wear Heels, and do Yoga. Yoga actually helps you lengthen the body to stand at correct posture and stand as tall as possible. Also you can appear taller by wear bootcut jeans.

Not very many things can make you SIGNIFICANTLY taller. You might try lifts in your shoes, or yoga, which can slightly increase your height through stretching. Unfortunately, I don't think you will gain 5 in through yoga.
