To be baptised once. And to partake of His Supper as often as possible.
Jesus states thru out the Gospels that He is the bread of life, that came down from heaven and numerous times that we were to eat His flesh and drink His blood. That His flesh and blood were the New Covenant.

The Lord was not being canabalistic here in this verse... He was referring to the process of death that He would have to undergo in order to be food to us spiritually when we feeding of Him as the bread of Life in the word... And when we partake of His blood shed for our sins.
Our Lord died in three statuses
1 As the lamb of God to take away the Sins of the world
2 As the Brass serpent to deal with the old serpent satan and also with the serpentine poison injected into man.
3 As the Grain of Wheat which falls into the earth to die to produce the many grains by releasing His divine Life to us through regeneration.
Bread is made up of grains of wheat crushed and blended and baked to form a loaf.
When we partake of the Lord's Table and Supper we see the Signs and enjoy Him as the bread of Life and His blood as the new covanent made for us...
we should do this as often in rememberance of Him .. In praise to Him for all he has obtained and attained for us.

He only had to say it once because once people actually tried a little deep fried Jesus with cornbread and milk He became wildly popular so Pilate had to crucify Him before He got all ate up.

Was that before or after that Jesus said to kill his enemies?
Luke 19:27-28
27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me.
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
